Acquisitions

Acquisitions orders, receives, pays for, repairs, maintains, and preserves all books, documents, journals, video recordings, sound recordings, and other materials for the permanent collections at the Watson Library and the branch libraries of Northwestern State University.

Library Cataloging

Cataloging is responsible for the maintenance of the online bibliographic database. The database record for every item in the permanent collections of the Watson Library and the branch libraries is created here. Cataloging also creates records for inclusion in the online catalog of off-site databases of interest to the Northwestern State University faculty, students and staff.
