Louisiana Association for Academic Competition
at Northwestern State University


The Louisiana Association for Academic Competition (LAAC) provides an opportunity for  high school students to participate in quiz bowl at the regional and state level.  Approximately 100 schools each year join the state association.  Students engage in spirited competition demonstrating their mastery of a wide range of knowledge.  The state championship is held at Northwestern State University in the spring and the overall state champion represents Louisiana in a national tournament held in Orlando, Florida every summer.
